JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Oversees all perioperative services including pre-surgery, surgical services, and post-operative care as well as the ambulatory surgical center and its associated services. Collaborates with charge nurses, nursing management and other health care professionals to provide the framework for planning, directing, coordinating, providing and improving health care services that are responsible for patient needs and that improve health outcomes. Nursing Care is provided for patients of all ages.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Operating Room of Surgery provides intraoperative care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We provide service for the patient population of pediatrics, adolescents, adult and elderly patients. We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring for people going home that day or are being admitted to the hospital.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
BSN or equivalent experience required.

Master's degree preferred.
-
Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure required.
-
Two (2) years in a clinical role, and an additional two (2) years experience in a management role required.

ACLS required.
-
Certified Nurse PeriOperative (CNOR) or Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) required.

Healthcare Provider BLS required.
-
Experience or training in computer applications required.
-
Nurse Executive Advanced Certification preferred.
