JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Utilizes an understanding of medical conditions, traditional treatments and massage training to establish an appropriate massage therapy plan in consultation with the interdisciplinary team. Communicates effectively with all caregivers.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Heartspring Wellness Center offers services to help clients achieve their best health in mind, body and spirit. Services include integrative primary care, integrative medicine consultations, naturopathic medicine, osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMT), acupuncture, nutrition counseling and classes, chronic disease management, integrative cancer support services, massage therapy, movement therapy, mind-body medicine, stress and symptom reduction, biofeedback and imagery for pain reduction and better living.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Current Oregon Massage Therapy Licensure required.

Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.

Two (2) years of medical massage experience preferred

Use knowledge and judgment skills to determine whether events or processes comply. Knowledge of state and HIPAA laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Ability to comply with laws and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Social perceptiveness: Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
