DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Cardiology team of cardiologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses provide a full-spectrum of care towards a healthy heart. We complete hundreds of interventional cardiovascular procedures (such as stents) each year and are up-to-date with cardiology treatment options. Services and procedures include coronary angiography, angioplasty and stent placements, pacemaker insertions and replacements, implantable cardiac defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy, echocardiography, nuclear medicine imaging, holter and event monitors (heart monitors), cardiac stress testing, intravascular ultrasound, cardiac MRI, and 64-slice cardiac CT angiography.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology, computer applications and secretarial skills, or equivalent required.

Experience and/or training in a hospital or medical office doing similar tasks preferred.
-
Experience and/or training in reception or a customer service setting required.
-
Experience and/or training with delegated health care services and ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
