  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Assists leadership with the operations of Materials Management departments. Responsible for managing coverage of Materials Management team to ensure adequate coverage, filling in if necessary and working with ADM’s at other sites to ensure adequate coverage for operations to continue.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • SHS Materials Management Departments are responsible for the supply chain needs of the enterprise. The department provides stewardship of resources and includes the leadership in the areas of purchasing, receiving, distribution and inventory control.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
    • Five (5) years supply chain/materials management experience required.
    • Experience or training in computer applications required.
    • Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

    • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand complex information/situations. Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities.
    • Community Relations: Ability to communicate to people internal and external to the organization and to represent the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
    • Conflict resolution: Ability to proactively resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner. Possess the knowledge and skills to handle complaints, settle disputes, and negotiate with others to reach mutually beneficial decisions.
    • Project Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple fast-moving projects with changing priorities, drivers and dependencies. Ability to work effectively independently or as part of an integrated team to achieve a goal.
    • Team Building: Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
    • Time Management: Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
