JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for the overall daily admitting and registration operations. Oversight includes staffing, policies, procedures and working with department managers within the facility to ensure the timely and accurate registration of patients.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The Registration/Access teams at Samaritan Health Services work closely with patients from the moment the patient walks into the facility. We carefully and thoroughly check demographic information and serve as a gateway to the patient’s services within our facility. We are often the first person patient’s encounter upon arrival and we excel at making sure their visit starts with a friendly smile and a positive interaction.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent required. College course work in hospital administration or business preferred.

Four (4) years Patient Access or Revenue Cycle related experience required. Experience in a multi-facility organization preferred.

One (1) year leadership experience required.

Successful completion of Access Certification preferred.
