  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Provides safe, quality radiation therapy through the utilization of appropriate treatment procedures. Participates in patient care, education, dosimetry, simulation, treatment planning, mold room duties and maintenance of patient treatment records.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Samaritan Cancer Program offers state-of-the-art, high-energy linear accelerators, which are computer controlled to deliver an extremely precise radiation treatment based on each patient’s customized treatment plan.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required. If a new graduate, temporary license upon hire and permanent license within six (6) months of hire required.
    • Current R.T.(T)(ARRT) credential required. If registry eligible, credential within six (6) months of hire required.
    • One (1) year experience as a staff therapist preferred.
    • Healthcare Provider BLS required.

    • Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology as well as electronic medical record systems. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
    • Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
