  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Provides reception and administrative support services to patients and providers within and outside the SHS system. Acts as a resource for questions about clinic practices. Handles accounts payable and front office issues in coordination with the clinic manager. May be responsible for training new front office employees.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • Samaritan Wound, Vein & Hyperbaric Medicine treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound vein and ostomy, as well as hyperbaric medicine.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Experience and/or training in medical/insurance terminology required (i.e. ICD-10, CPT codes, etc).
    • Experience with practice management scheduling systems preferred.
    • AGH Wound Ostomy:
      • One (1) year experience in a medical office required.

    • Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
    • Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
