  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Responsible for supervising the daily operations of the clinical staff of a medical clinic. Acts as a liaison between the back office and other clinic departments. Mediates issues between back office staff and physicians as well as other departments in the clinic.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The Urgent Care teams at Samaritan Health Services treat conditions that require immediate attention but are not considered to be life-threatening or severe enough to be cared for in the hospital emergency department.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.
    • Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a MA program required.
    • Two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting required (experience must include one (1) year as a medical assistant).
    • One (1) year leadership/supervisory experience required.
    • Healthcare Provider BLS required.

    • Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
    • Compliance - Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with laws, regulations, or standards. Use knowledge and judgment skills to determine whether events or processes comply.
