JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Works closely with Facilities Management to support all facility operational activities. Commits to best practices for building maintenance/operations, office management and customer service. Responsible for intermediate-level trades work, requiring competence in independently performing a variety of skilled electrical tasks. Provides guidance to less-skilled staff on shared work assignments.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
Corporate Facilities is responsible for general management, professional direction and leadership for all corporate facilities services/functions, primarily in operations and maintenance. Facilities plans a continual work schedule to maintain a safe and healthy condition to achieve the best working conditions possible for all employees. Engages and manages contractors and service vendors to execute repair and maintenance projects and roll-out support, with minimal disruption to operations.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Current Oregon Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant License required.

Two (2) years experience in basic building/facilities maintenance tasks required.

One (1) year customer service experience required.
-
Experience or training in MS Office Applications including Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Experience providing administrative support preferred.

Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Safety and Security - Knowledge of safety and security practices and procedures. Ability to instruct the public in and promote safe and secure operations. Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures. Ability to comply with health and safety regulations.

Confidentiality - Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Ability to comply with laws and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Communication - Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand complex information/situations. Ability to work with all levels within the organization, facilitate communication, and effectively document related activities. Ability understand and follow oral and written directions; work from blue prints, shop drawings and sketches; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Tools/Equipment: Ability to use a variety of tools and power equipment. Knowledge of power and hand tools commonly used in facilities maintenance.

Computer Literacy/Clerical: Knowledge of personal computers such as automated recordkeeping tools, automated system controls, and email. Ability to maintain logs, inventories, records and reports in computerized and written formats; effectively use email and automated calendaring systems; respond to service requests and manage work orders in the computerized maintenance management system; and access automated control systems. Knowledge of record keeping techniques, including use of automated recordkeeping systems. Ability to make arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately.
