JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
-
Supervises the clinical staff and substance abuse treatment program services (inpatient and outpatient). Serves as the liaison for patient friends and families and provides family education and group services. Oversees the therapy services for program participants and provides, as needed, direct services, such as individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, client advocacy, counseling and crisis intervention.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Community Health Promotion staff work closely with local and regional organizations and coalitions to identify and address community health needs. The staff also represents Samaritan Health Services on local, state and national coalitions that supports the mission, vision, and goals of Samaritan Health Services. The staff oversees, coordinates, supports, implements and reports on federal and state grants within SHS and community partners.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Master’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in a related Human Services field.
-
Healthcare Provider Level BLS within 30 days required.
-
Three (3) years of experience in mental health, chemical dependency and substance abuse disorders required.

One (1) year of leadership experience in a substance abuse program required.

One of the following required:
-
Oregon Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
-
Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
-
Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor Level II or III (CADC), National Certified Addiction Counselor Level II (NCAC) or Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certification

Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) or (QMHP) eligible required.

Documentation of current and continuous abstinence required in accordance with certification requirements of MHACBO in the case of a recovering candidate.

Experience and/or training with computer applications required.

Current unencumbered Oregon RN Licensure preferred.
