  • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
    • Responsible for daily operations in area of responsibility. Ensures compliant Charge Master (CDM) data-file content for Samaritan Health Services and maintaining pricing tools and pricing models.
  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • Provides oversight of chargeable items and services billable to hospital and clinic patients with applicable federal/state rules and regulations. This department is responsible for all lines of business in all service locations.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Health Administration related field or equivalent experience required.
    • Three (3) years Charge Master experience required. Experience with multi-facilities preferred.
    • Two (2) years experience in a healthcare supervisory/leadership position required.
    • One (1) year coding or auditing experience required.
    • Certification status as CPC, CCS or CCS-P preferred.
    • Experience and/or training in the following preferred:
      • Billing functions.
      • Functions of a Regional Business Office.
      • Applicable coding rules and compliance guidelines.
