JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for daily operations in area of responsibility. Ensures compliant Charge Master (CDM) data-file content for Samaritan Health Services and maintaining pricing tools and pricing models.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
Provides oversight of chargeable items and services billable to hospital and clinic patients with applicable federal/state rules and regulations. This department is responsible for all lines of business in all service locations.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
-
Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Health Administration related field or equivalent experience required.

Three (3) years Charge Master experience required. Experience with multi-facilities preferred.

Two (2) years experience in a healthcare supervisory/leadership position required.
-
One (1) year coding or auditing experience required.
-
Certification status as CPC, CCS or CCS-P preferred.

Experience and/or training in the following preferred:
-
Billing functions.
-
Functions of a Regional Business Office.

Applicable coding rules and compliance guidelines.
